JAMMU, Apr 1: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) led by its chairman, Ganesh Khajuria met Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Advisor to the Governor.
The delegation put-forth demands pertaining to teacher community for redressal at the earliest.
After going through all the demands in the memorandum, the Advisor issued orders for constitution of high power committee headed by Commissioner Secretary School Education and comprising of the representative of Finance Department, GAD, Director School Education Jammu and Director School Education Kashmir to expedite the process for final redressal of all the issues and submit the recommendations at the earliest for further submission to the SAC for final disposal.
The issue raised by the delegation were pertaining to 7th pay commission benefits which have been pending for the last so many months to some teachers.
Other demands included confirmation of under graduate Teacher Grade II, removal of pay anomalies of Master grade, DPC of all cadres of Education Department, regularisation of all Incharge Officers of Education Department, revival of selection grades in favour of under graduate teachers, provision of earned leave in favour of teaching cadres by converting it into non-vocational cadres, creation of teachers welfare fund and implementation of minimum wages act in favour of contingent paid workers and MDM cooks.
