JAMMU, Apr 1: Theatre Group ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today staged Vijay Malla’s Nukad play ‘Apna Hath Jagarnath’.
The play starts with an old person preaching awakening to the younger generation with slogan ‘Save Earth Save Enjoinment and Plant Trees’.
He says that for all developments around us and in society we should never be dependent rather we must make all efforts and initiative at our own level.
“We must check and note difficulties of our society and its members and take action immediately with better remedies for the development and progress of the people,” the old man says.
He asks youth to ensure that there should be facilities like power and water supply, schools, road safety, hospitals, children parks etc for the public.
“You must educate people for maintaining cleanness at their houses and lanes, using covered pure water for drinking,” he told the youth.
The old man quotes an example of Ravindra Nath Tagore as to how Tagore adopted three undeveloped villages which were later called Shri Niketan.
Artists who acted in the play were Happy Gupta, Rahul Dev, Raju Mad, Maria, Ashok, Harsh, Kanav and Vijay Malla.
