Srinagar, Feb 21: The residents of Hamdaniya Colony, Bemina Sector-11 today protested against the authorities over their failure of repairing the defunct drainage system in the area.
Scores of people residing in the area staged a protest and criticised the authorities for not speeding up the process of ensuring a fully functional drainage system in the area even as the residents said that for the last 3 years, they are being made to run from pillar to post.
“There is continues waterlogging and the same remains to be an issue in winter as well as summers; there is no change on the ground with a change in weather,” said a resident who identified himself as Harjeet Singh. Click here to watch video

Another resident, Ashiq Ahmad said that there is no drainage in the area and that the one which the residents constructed on their own is lying defunct.
