JAMMU, June 11: The decomposed dead body of an unknown man of age about 40-45 years was recovered from River Tawi, here today.
According to a police official, some locals this afternoon spotted a male dead body in River Tawi under the fourth bridge and informed the police. He said a team from police post Belicharana immediately reached the spot and fished out the body which was partially decomposed.
“The body has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection by police post Belicharana,” the official added.
