JAMMU, June 11: Gangyal police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered around 175 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station laid a naka near Kunjwani Chowk and intercepted a Tavera car bearing registration number JK21-3995.
During checking, police team recovered around 175 grams heroin from the possession of four persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nissar Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hassan of Muradpura Shopian, Sandeep Kumar, son of Sita Ram of Jalandhar Punjab and Sandeep Kumar, son of Avtar Singh of Himachal Pradesh.
A case under FIR Number 50/19 has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by ASI Sat Pal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP South Vinay Sharma and SSP Jammu Tajinder Singh.
