DODA, Apr 30: A sit in and public meeting held today here at old Bus Stand in which members of Development Doda Front (DDF) urged the present Government to fulfill the long pending demands of the people of Doda region.
The speakers said that DDF for the last nearly 10 years is stressing for separate Administration Division along with other Departmental Heads for Doda.
Besides, DDF stressed for establishment of High Court Bench in Doda, commissioning of Medical College immediately as per announcement made by the previous Government of India, starting of Technical College that stands sanctioned, opening of closed university campus, adding of Masters Courses to Degree College Doda, shifting of DIG Police Office to Doda, construction of Doda Dessa Kapran Tunnel to provide alternate Highway to Kashmir and creation of Development Authority for Doda and its seven Tehsils.
Alleging that the road from Batote to Kishtwar and Bhaderwah has been washed away from treatments showers and Baglihar Dam waters, the speakers stressed on the need for construction of alternate road.
