DDC takes stock of public grievances

BHADERWAH, July 25: District Development Commissioner, Simrandeep Singh today convened an introductory-cum-public grievances redressal meeting.
The issues raised by the people included blacktopping of roads under PMGSY and PWD, unsafe drinking water, shortage of doctors in Sub District Hospital, opening of child and mother care hospital in old hospital building as announced by the Government earlier, parking of vehicles at different locations within Municipal limits of Bhaderwah and cleanliness of town.
The DDC gave patient hearing to the grievances and demands of people and passed on spot directions to the concerned officers to resolve the issues within a shortest possible time.
He impressed upon the people of the area to participate in the developmental works in general and development of tourism in particular for overall welfare of the area. He further said that Bhaderwah has a good tourism potential and efforts are underway to develop it as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the State.
ADC Pawan Kumar Parihar, SSP Mohammad Shabir, ASP Rajinder Singh, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Massod Ahmed, SDPO Tussif Ahmed besides prominent citizens and representatives of various NGOs and trusts were present in the meeting.
