KISHTWAR, Mar 31: After receiving several complaints from the general public of Sounder Dacchan, regarding the Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Sounder namely Vidya Dhar who has not joined his duties after the winter vacations, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today placed the said Principal under suspension with immediate effect.
“CEO Kishtwar has been designated as enquiry officer who will conduct an in-depth enquiry into the matter and will submit the report to DDC by or before April 10”, the order issued by DDC reads.
Meanwhile, DDC today directed CEO Kishtwar to withhold the salaries of 18 teachers who have been found absent from their duties without any valid reason.
“It has come to the notice of the DDC that the teaching staff of HS Keshwan, MS Nagri and MS Bhagran Hill was unauthorizedly absent from duties on yesterday and today and had left the students of the school at the mercy of God”, the order of CEO Kishtwar reads.
Taking cognizance of DDC’s directions, CEO Kishtwar ordered the withholding of their salaries with immediate effect.
The teachers who were found absent included Ghulam Mohammad Kripak (HS Keshwan), Shafiqa Banoo (HS Keshwan), Beni Parshad (HS Keshwan), Shahnawaz (HS Keshwan), Rafiya Kulsum (HS Keshwan), Satwir Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Amarjeet Singh, Dalbir Singh, Mansoor Ahmed, Shafiya Banoo, Nazia Banoo, Irshad Ahmed Kripak, Meena Kumari of MS Nagri, Mohammad Shafi, Poonam Bloria, Shafia Kousar, Nirdosh Kant (teachers of MS Bhagran hill).
“In view of the unauthorized absence of the officials from their legitimate duty, salary of these officials has been ordered to be kept with held with immediate effect and besides all of the absentee teachers have been directed to explain the cause of absence with in three days, falling which action warranted under rules shall be initiated against them”, CEO Kishtwar Ajeet Kumar said.
