Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, Mar 31: Nagrota police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 9 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02BJ-5397.
During checking, police rescued 9 cattle from the vehicle and seized it. Two bovine smugglers identified as Pervez Ahmed, son of Mirza Khan and Aijaz Ahmed, son of Mohammad Altaf, both residents of district Anantnag have been arrested. A case under FIR Number 70/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
