DDC Samba convenes public grievance camp

SAMBA, Aug 29: District Development Commissioner, Samba, Mubarak Singh today conducted a tour of village Ghagwal of Samba district to take stock of grievances of the people besides reviewing progress of ongoing development works in the area.
The DDC was accompanied by ADDC Vivek Sharma, AC(R) M Y Malik, Tehsildar Ghagwal,BDO Ghagwal, Executive Engineer PWD, and heads of various departments.
The DDC held public grievances camp at Ghagwal village. People in large number including Sarpanchs, Panchs from various Panchayats participated in the camp and projected their demands and problems pertaining to repairing of roads, Bathing Ghats, the availability of drinking water, regular supply of electricity etc.
The DDC listened to the demands and problems being faced by the people patiently and assured them that all their issues would be redressed. DDC also suggested them for diversified farming to improve their socio-economic conditions beside rearing cattle of high quality breeds and cash crops like vegetable, mushroom etc.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that purpose of such meetings is to have first hand knowledge about the problems of the people and mitigate their grievances.
He impressed upon the Sarpanchs, Panchs and Prominent persons present to play vital role in their participation in development activities and stressed for taking active part in Planning and execution of works under MGNREGA.
He instructed all the heads of the departments to work with missionary zeal and dedication for resolving the issues of people leaving no space for complains.
Enroute, DDC also inspected Nursery at Tapyal and directed the BDO Ghagwal for upkeep of plants during the current season.
DDC exhorted upon the officers to undertake extensive touring to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach the deserving beneficiaries timely.
