DDC reviews progress of district CAPEX budget

PULWAMA, Nov 4 : District Developmental Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting to review progress made on various development works under CAPEX Budget (2019-20), besides implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in the district.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, CEO, DFO, EO and other district officers.
The DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements of various departments including Education, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD, Health, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Forest, Agriculture, Horticulture and CSSs.
The meeting was informed that under district CAPEX budget 2019-20 an amount of Rs.5501.69 crores has been made available and Rs 4340.96 crores has been expended till ending October 2019 under various schemes.
It was given out that in agriculture and allied sector an amount of Rs 120.31 crore under regular schemes was approved out of which Rs 63.60 crore were released and Rs 11.28 crore was expended till ending October 2019.
Similarly, in Elementary Education, SSA, Secondary Education, RMSA, Youth Services & Sports, Health, PHE, Urban Development, Nutrition and Midday meals an amount of Rs 413.76 crore have been released and an amount of Rs 280.34 crore have been expended till ending Oct 2019.
On the occasion, DDC directed the officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all works including languishing projects within stipulated time frame. He also stressed for regular field visits to ensure the quality of work.
