REASI, Aug 21: District Development Commissioner, Reasi Sushma Chauhan chaired a meeting and took an extensive review of various Developmental projects.
During the review meeting, the Superintending Engineers PWD/PMGSY informed the chair that despite rains work on all targeted roads is in full swing. SE PMGSY also informed that work on 21 roads and 1 bridge targeted for completion during 2015-16 is in full swing, process for removing of bottlenecks viz. forest clearance, alignment dispute is going on in close coordination with Forest/Revenue officers. Both the SE assured the chair that targets fixed for the year 2015-16 will be achieved in full within the specified period as construction work on various roads/ bridges and buildings is going on.
Chief Education Officer, Reasi also informed that out of 100 Primary School Buildings, 20 buildings are nearing completion and out of 477 additional class rooms, 73 are nearing completion and work on remaining buildings is in full swing. Besides Mid Day Meal is provided to 31305 students upto primary standard and to 13780 students upto middle standard.
Regarding construction of school buildings under RMSA, DDC issued instructions to executing agencies like PWD, RDD and Chief Education Officer, Reasi to work in close coordination so that targets fixed can be achieved in full within the specified period of time.
While reviewing the progress of road from Domail to Katra strict instructions were issued to Executive Engineer PWD Katra to maintain the quality of work and to gear up the progress of the work.
DDC issued instructions to all district officers to submit the month-wise schedule for achieving physical targets and accordingly block level monitoring committees are also constituted to monitor the progress.
She further instructed Chief Education Officer, Reasi to maintain the quality of Mid Day Meal and provide it as per weekly dietary schedule. Besides, DDC also directed CMO/CEO/Designated Officer, Food Safety & Standard to jointly constitute Block /Zonal level Committees to monitor the quality and quantity of Mid Day Meal provided to students in district.
Directions were also issued to all concerned to implement the decisions of DDB meeting in letter and spirit. Besides this, concerned District Officers were also directed to follow up the decisions where decision pertains to higher authorities.
