Poonch, June 8: District Development Commmissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today held a public grievance redressal camp at Block Bufliaz under the Block Diwas program.
The programme was attended by DDC and BDC members, Sarpanches & Panches and Concerned Government Officers.
During the meeting, PRIs members and locals raised various issues and demands of their areas including construction of Trauma Hospital at Chandimarh, construction of link road to upper Chandimarh and starting of PMGSY work at Taralawali.
The PRIs also raised their concern regarding the pendency of floating tenders on Lift Scheme Bufliaz, early clearing of pending liabilities under MGNREGA, timely approval of Panchayat Plans and their fasttrack implementation, providing of Toilet complex and Dustbins at tourist spots on Mughal ATM at Chandimarh, Solar lights in rural areas, Implementation of JJM schemes in Chandimarh.
Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues raised during the meeting and assured them of proper redressal of all their demands.
Specifically talking about the trauma hospital,he assured the public that a big piece of land stands identified for the said facility and soon such a facility will be reality.
He issued various instructions on the spot to concerned officers for fast track completion of all languishing and ongoing projects, especially projects catering to rural development,health and basic amenities.
After returning from Block Diwas at Chandimarh the Deputy Commissioner inspected various projects and government offices like PHC Chandimarh and Tourist Complex/ Cafeteria of Tourism Department at Chandimarh and Noori Chamb. The CEO Poonch Development Authority, Dr Tanveer Khan appraised the Deputy Commissioner regarding the projects for tourist amenities.The DDC also did a inspection of Bunikhet area wherein construction work of bridge on Sialan Mahra Road is under construction by the PMGSY Department.
