KATHUA, June 8: A two day Ayushman Bharat camp was organized by CWS at GDC Kathua.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal of the College, Prof. Sumnesh Jasrotia who was chief guest on the occasion while speaking said that Ayushman scheme launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has proved to be a game changer for India’s healthcare system as every poor person can now get treatment at the best hospital across the country.
Coordinator CWS, Dr. Rachna organised the camp to help the students as well as faculty members in registering themselves for Ayushman Cards.
Dr. Rachna said many students as well and staff members are still in need of this registration.
She said that apart from registering new beneficiaries in Ayushman scheme, those who were already registered would be provided golden cards.
Prof. Rajkiran Sharma, Prof. Jaswinder Singh, Prof. Rakesh Singh, Dr. Amita Dua. Prof. Manmohan Singh and Dr. Jogbinder Singh were also present on the occasion.
About 50 students and 10 faculty members registered their names in the camp.
