POONCH, Feb 26: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Sajad Ahmed Khan today inaugurated new premises of J&K Bank branch near Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge.
DDC inaugurated the J&K Bank branch in presence of Zonal Head J&K Bank Jammu West Gurcharan Singh, reputed persons from civil society and customers of the bank.
On the occasion, DDC said that J&K Bank is playing a vital role in boosting the economy of the State.
“Trade, Education, Housing or providing financial assistance to unemployed youth, the bank is on front line to serve them”, he added.
DDC further stated that J&K Bank is contributing 70 per cent towards total loan disbursement in this district which clearly depicts its performance. The bank needs to open more and more branches in the district and there is a need of more ATMs in the district for the convenience of the people, he asserted.
Zonal Head J&K Bank Jammu West Gurcharan Singh assured DDC and people present that J&K Bank feels pleasure in serving the people and has taken it as a mission to serve the people.
He added that the bank is already considering opening of more branches in the district as well as ATMs.
Among others present were Ghulam Jeelani, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Shafi Ayaz, LDM, Mr Puri, Branch Head, J&K Bank branch, SK Bridge and various Government officers.
