JAMMU, Mar 2: District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, today flagged off five day field-cum-exposure visit of members of watershed committee to Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Mohali.
The visit has been organised by State level Nodal Agency for IWMP and Project Manager IWMP Jammu under capacity building programme of IWMP.
During the visit, the water shed committee members from Dansal, Akhnoor and Khour will learn about various modern agricultural practices adopted by farmers in the State of Punjab.
The DDC appreciated the efforts of IWMP and asked the Project Manager, Jammu to arrange more such programmes for effective capacity building of all watershed committees.
Earlier, Project Manager Susheel kumar briefed the members about importance of organising such field cum exposure tours.
