RAMBAN, Sept 17: District Development Commissioner, Ramban Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting with the officers of district administration and municipal authorities for chalking out modalities for developing and revamping the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Municipal Committees.
During the meeting, the DDC directed the officers to complete the modalities for upgradation of existing bus stand at Ramban and asked the Municipal Committee to identify land for the construction of new bus stand at Batote.
The DDC further decided the concerned officers to collect fee on regular basis from kiosks, vendors and other small business owners, who are running their units under Municipality limits on authorized permission.
In the meeting, Deputy Director, Sericulture informed that land for upgradation of Ramban bus stand has already been transferred to the concerned authority. The DDC instructed the XEn PWD, ACR and other concerned officers to remove all other impending bottlenecks to take further course of action.
The DDC instructed Executive Officer, Batote for immediate taking over of the land and completion of other formalities pertaining to the project.
In the meeting, issues related to proposed Solid Waste Management Project were also discussed and the DDC asked EO Banihal to seek the requisite NOCs and complete other formalities.
The DDC further asked the concerned officers to educate the masses for utilizing the parking facility at newly constructed Banihal bus stand so that unnecessary pollution, congestion and jamming can be avoided on the roads.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Ravinder Sadhu, ACR Vevaik Puri, SDM Banihal, CPO Parshotam Kumar, Deputy Director, Sericulture Ashraf Ali, Executive Officers, Tehsildars and concerned engineers.
