RAMBAN, Oct 1: District Development Commissioner Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar convened a meeting of officers from PWD (R&B) and PMGSY in order to review physical and financial status of various ongoing roads under district, State and Central Government schemes.
The meeting was attended by CPO Parshotam Kumar, SE,PMGSY, XEn PMGSY, XEn PWD, and officers of other departments.
The scheme, phase and stage wise review was taken by DDC while chairing the meeting wherein the officers informed that work on some roads was delayed due to court cases, forest clearance and non-payment of compensation to the land owners.
Thread bare discussion was held on issues pertaining to the construction of roads keeping in view physical and financial targets for the year 2015-16.
DDC directed the officers to gear up the work on the ongoing roads and achieve the requisite targets with in stipulated time period without compromising the quality.
A deputation from Shagan also met the DDC with some burning issues like delayed work on the road at Shagan and absence of bridge at Nachlana nallah. DDC assured the people that early resolution of the problems will be brought in force with due intervention of the concerned departments.
