DDC conducts extensive tour of Udhampur town

UDHAMPUR, June 4: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary along with officers of various departments carried out extensive inspection of Udhampur town today.
Expressing deep concern over deteriorated condition of roads and lack of proper sanitation in the town, DDC called for proactive participation of public for effective functioning of field officials.
Concerned officers of PWD were directed for immediate repair and filling as well as blacktopping of roads in the town. DDC also gave directions   for removal of illegal encroachments along the roads. Concerned authorities of Municipal Council were directed for increasing the garbage collection points, increasing the number of dustbins, collection equipments and other facilities.
He also directed constituting of Ward Teams for ensuring door-to-door collection of garbage in Udhampur town. BRO authorities were asked to take up repair and upgradation of roads in collaboration with Municipal Committee while ensuring proper drainage.
Concerned officers of Traffic Department were directed to prepare a detailed traffic management plan for the town.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana, Joint Director Planning,  Rakesh Jamwal, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Mechanical, Local Bodies, OC BRO, ARTO,  Dy SP Traffic, DIO, CEO Municipal Council and officers of various departments accompanied the DDC.
