JAMMU, Apr 10: District Development Councillor (DDC) Dansal Shameem Begum along with BDC-Dansal, Reena Thappa today inaugurated Sulabh Toilet Complex at Jhajjar Kotli costing Rs 14.50 lakh which were provided by Devender Singh Rana, former MLA Nagrota out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
This facility on Jammu Srinagar National Highway has been constructed and will be maintained by Sulabh International Social Service Organization.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Dansal Shameem Begum lauded the work done by Sulabh International Social Service Organization across the country regarding sanitation services.
She said that the long pending demand of the local people has been fulfilled with the commissioning of this Toilet Complex . The toilet facility is most essential during present COVID-19 times so that no one defecates in open, she said, hoping the users will also take care of its upkeep.
Reena Thappa BDC Dansal appealed to the people to maintain high standards of health and hygiene, which is imperative for a healthy society. She called for public participation and support in cleanliness of the surroundings.
Ealier, Anil Kumar Singh, Controller, Sulabh International Social Service Organization J&K presented welcome address and gave brief report regarding sanitation activities being done by Sulabh International Social Service Organization throughout India.
On this occasion Choudhary Rehmat Ali BDC Nagrota, Som Nath Khajuria, Sarpanch Saraj Din, Ex Sarpanch Mohd Sadiq, Ex Sarpanch Angrez Singh, Vinay Kumar, Anant Kumar Mishra, Arun Kumar Singh and Sulabh Volunteers were also present there.
