JAMMU, Nov 4: As a part of the Centre’s initiative to promote generic medicines and to ensure affordable and quality medicines to the patients, two Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJAK) have been opened in district Samba today.
District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria inaugurated the facilities at Community Health Centre, Ramgarh and District Hospital, Samba.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC urged the medicos to prescribe only generic medicines or the medicines that are available in the Govt. hospital to the patients. The Jan Aushadhi Kendra is the best way to provide cheap and quality medicines to the economically weaker population,” he added.
The DC also inspected the CHC Ramgarh and interacted with the Doctors and other staff members. He expressed satisfaction on the facilities, especially the sanitation in and around the hospital and appreciated the services of the staff.
All sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
