DC Samba distributes sanction orders under PMEGP

SAMBA, Nov 20: Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria today distributed sanction orders to 48 numbers of beneficiaries in the Conference Hall of DC Office, Samba by providing them financial assistance under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) being implemented by J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
The 48 beneficiaries will establish their units in different trades in Samba district involving an amount of Rs 428.00 lakh as project cost and Rs 135.06 lakh as margin money. These 48 beneficiaries will further provide employment to about 4000 more unemployed youth in their units.
The sanction orders were given to the beneficiaries in a meeting held here which was chaired by DC Samba and among others it was attended by Dy Chief Executive Officer, KVIB Jammu, Division, Tilak Raj, district Officer KVIB, Samba, Harvinder Singh, local District Manager, Director RSETI, Regional Manager JK , Grameen Bank Samba and Kathua besides a large number of beneficiaries.
Rohit Khajuria, while speaking on the occasion appreciated the performance of KVIB inn eradicating the unemployment from district and advised the beneficiaries to set up their units properly to generate their livelihood. He also advised KVIB for publishing some success stores to inspire the unemployed youth in replicating the successful units.
