DC Reasi disburses Rs 8.13 lakh relief among farmers

JAMMU, Nov 2: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Charandeep Singh, today sanctioned an amount of  Rs. 4,63,830 relief under SDRF in favour of 161 beneficiaries whose crop was damaged due to the hailstorm on October 22 and 23.
The said amount shall be credited into the respective bank accounts of the eligible beneficiaries through DBT mode. As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner, an extensive field survey was conducted jointly by Revenue and Agriculture Department to ascertain the extent of damage to the crops.  The joint team conducted survey in effected villages of the district where standing crop was damaged due to hailstorm and subsequently the relief cases were prepared and sanctioned.
Important to mention here that an amount of Rs. 3,50,168 in favour of 179 beneficiaries has already been sanctioned by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi and disbursed to beneficiaries through DBT.
With this, a total amount of Rs. 8,13,998 in favour of 340 beneficiaries stands sanctioned by the Deputy Commissioner.
