LEH, Dec 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, today chaired a meeting to assess the progress of the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in the District.
A statement said that Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh, informed the meeting that 32 beneficiaries have already been registered under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
He told the meeting that a total of 243 beneficiaries have been identified for the scheme.
Emphasizing the need for proactive measures, the DC Leh issued directives to the District Panchayat Officer, Leh to identify 85 Sarpanches by December 4, emphasising the importance of timely and efficient execution of the scheme.
The DC Leh further directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Leh to expedite the Aadhar updation process on a fast-track basis to ensure that beneficiaries are seamlessly integrated into the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
He emphasized the importance of saturating the scheme to support local artisans and fostering economic growth through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
The meeting was attended by General Manager DIC, Executive Officer, MC Leh; Superintendent Handloom, Leh, and other officers.
