DC Kishtwar receives award for outstanding performance under BBBP

KISHTWAR, Sept 6: Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana today received an award for outstanding performance of the district under the category of awareness generation and outreach in Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme (BBBP).
The award containing momento and a citation was presented by Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani to DC, Kishtwar in presence of Union Minister of State, MWCD Debasree Chaudhuri, Union Secretary, MWCD Rabindra Panwar and Addl. Secretary, MWCD, K.Moses Chalai and Joint Secretary MWCD Aastha Khatwani in a function held at New Delhi.
District Kishtwar was selected as one of the districts by Union Ministry of Women and Child Development which has done commendable work in awareness generation and outreach activities under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
A series of activities from girl enrollments and ensuring their retention in schools and colleges to felicitating mothers of new born female babies, organizing awareness camps, symposiums, seminars, launching BBBP Mobile Express, signature campaigns, using BBBP logo on official correspondences besides giving fillip to usage of BBBP ringtones on mobiles organising of students rallies, door to door BBBP campaign, nukad, nataks, and many other activities were conducted in considerable areas including the remote parts of the district.
Anoop Kumar AD Employment and Counselling District Kishtwar designated as Nodal Officer under BBBP who fine tuned the different activities and made meaningful contribution under BBBP also remained present at the occasion.
