DC Kargil for timely completion of ongoing developmental works

KARGIL, Aug 9: Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal today directed the concerned officers of PHE and R&B departments expedite the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works in the district Kargil.
This instruction was given by the Deputy Commissioner during extensive tour of Pashkum village of the district.
During his visit, the DC inspected ongoing Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Pashkum constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.47 crore.
Executive Engineer, PHE Subash Chander informed the DC that the construction work on the WSS Pashkum is in full swing and an amount of Rs 1.40 crore has been incurred on the project so far.
The DC directed the executing agencies to gear up their functionaries and accelerate the pace of work on the project and complete the same within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to use standard material and judicious use of funds.
He also inspected various under execution works including Pashkum road of R&B Department in the area and got first hand appraisal of the works under taken by the department in Pashkum area.
The Executive Engineer R & B Abdul Mutalib briefed the DC about the activities carried by the Department in Pashkum area. It was informed that the Pashkum road was taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 9 crore under CRF and the construction work on the project is apace. He also informed that an amount of Rs 2.13 crore has already been incurred on the project so far and the work is expected to be completed by the end of May, 2019.
