RAJOURI, Sept 14: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat has directed to charge-sheet 16 Govt employees who were found absent in various offices during surprise checking in the town today and also stopped their salary and conducted inspection in the market and directed to remove entire encroachment on roads, lanes and foot paths here.
Accompanied by SSP Rajouri Dr Haseeb Mughal, Additional DC Veer Ji Hangloo and other officers from the Administration and Municipal Committee, the Dy Commissioner inspected several markets and main Bazaar in the town and found massive encroachment on roads, lanes and foot paths. He directed the Administrator and Executive Officer of the MCR to clear all the markets and foot paths and road and removed encroachment within two days.
He directed to clear the bazaar near Bus Stand and seize the goods and impose fine on the defaulters heavily to check this menace.
Mr Bhat was not happy with the regulation of traffic in the town and asked the concerned Traffic police and the local Police agency officers to deploy men at crucial city points. He found traffic jams and wrong parking of vehicle at many points and asked the officers to ensure regular traffic regulation/ monitoring. The encroachment in many areas was also removed on the spot by the officers.
Meanwhile, a team of officers led by ADC, Mumtaz Choudhary on the directions of the DC paid surprise visit to the offices of ICDS, Floriculture, Horticulture, Chief Animal Husbandry, State Pollution Control Board and J&K Cultural Academy (Sub office) here and found at least 16 employees including officers un-authorisedly absent from duty. He took up the matter with the DC who sought the explanation from the officers concerned, stopped their salaries and directed to charge-sheet these employees.
