UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar, today inaugurated the upgraded Botany Lab at Government Degree College Udhampur that is well equipped with latest instruments, specimen and other gadgets catering to the needs of students of various classes.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction on the newly upgraded lab and hoped that it will be very helpful to the students. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner also planted a sapling in the College premises ushering in the green concept.
In his address, the chief guest appreciated the endeavors of the College management for being a support to Udhampur District in particular and the neighboring colleges in general. He emphasized upon the students and the staff to be aware of their rights and duties and try to avail benefits from the different schemes being offered by the Government of India such as Aayushmaan Bharat, Suraksha Bima Yojna and others. He called upon the students to become ideal citizens and sensitize the society by rendering various social services.
While extending formal welcome to the dignitaries present on this occasion, Dr Nutan Kumar Resutra, Principal of the College, elaborated upon the achievements of this esteemed institution.
