JAMMU, Oct 30: In the much-publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by SOS International and others seeking CBI probe into alleged cross voting in MLC elections, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Massodi and Justice Tashi Rabstan today granted final opportunity to five MLAs of BJP’s breakaway group to file their response.
After hearing battery of lawyers, DB made it clear that in case the reply is not filed, the right to file reply shall stand forfeited and matter will be taken-up for consideration in absence of reply.
On the insistence of the petitioners’ counsel for earlier disposal of the PIL, the DB directed the consideration of this matter in the week commencing December 9, 2013.
