JAMMU, Apr 10: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal upheld the life-imprisonment of Mohd Bashir, who had killed his wife for conducting second marriage.
After hearing Advocate Anmol Sharma appearing for the accused whereas AAG Ravinder Sharma for the State, Division Bench observed, “the evidence of daughter of accused and the deceased and the only eye witness to the occurrence considering her to be the most truthful witnesses is a sufficient to point towards the guilt of the accused coupled with other attending circumstances”.
With these observations, Division Bench upheld the life-imprisonment awarded by the Trial Court.
