DB grants 4 weeks time to CS, DC Reasi for filing reply

JAMMU, Sept 9: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by SOS International and others regarding collection of taxes from Shri Mata Vaishnodevi pilgrims, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Ali Mohd Magrey today granted four weeks time to the Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Reasi to file reply in pursuance to the earlier directions of the High Court.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Seema Shekhar for the State and Advocate Rohit Kohli appearing for the Shrine Board, the DB observed, “pursuant to the last order dated July 31, 2013, Registry has tagged the record of OWP 2002/2006. Reply has already been filed on behalf of respondents except Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Reasi”.
At this stage, AAG Seema Shekhar sought four weeks time to file reply on behalf of Chief Secretary and Deputy Commissioner Reasi, which was granted by the Division Bench.
