DB expresses displeasure over status report filed by Police

JAMMU, June 2: In the much publicized PIL regarding mysterious disappearance of a minor domestic help from the residence of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri, Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal today expressed dissatisfaction over the status report filed by Jammu Police with regard to the steps taken to locate the minor boy.
When this matter came up for hearing before the Division Bench, the petitioner Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat drew the attention of the court towards the status report filed by the Jammu Police in which it was submitted that the police obtained the call details record of the minor boy and also questioned the wife of the CJM Rajouri.
The Division Bench after considering the status report and the submissions of Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat expressed its dissatisfaction over the status report. The DB, in the open court, directed Senior AAG to ensure the presence of IO (Investigating Officer) of the case and also directed that case diaries be also produced on the next date of hearing.
The Division Bench looking into the urgency involved also directed the Registry to list this matter in the next regular cause list.
