JAMMU, Aug 12: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding regulation of traffic in the city of Jammu, Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the High Power Committee to submit updated report.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Advocate Meenakshi Slathia sought some more time to file response to the status report filed by Jammu Development Authority. At this stage, Senior Advocate D C Raina, Court Counsel, said that High Power Committee constituted by order of this court has already filed its compliance report on the issues and the same was taken on record.
Upon this, Division Bench directed High Power Committee to submit its latest updated report up to August 2014 with regard to all the directions issued from time to time so that the main matter is taken up once for all on the next date of hearing in order to pass a comprehensive direction with regard to all the important issues.
Senior AAG Gagan Basotra assured that he would convey the order to Divisional Commissioner Jammu, who is heading High Power Committee within this week only so that needful is done within next three weeks.
