JAMMU, Feb 15: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Balvinder Singh and others seeking recovery of Sales Tax arrears worth crores of rupees, Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today directed the State to file objections.
After hearing Advocate Ankesh Chandel for the PIL whereas Senior Advocate DC Raina for the respondents and Senior AAG Seema Shekhar for the State, the DB observed, “the counsel for the parties has submitted that Sections 5, 6 and 13 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Decentralization and Recruitment Rules, 2010 is separately challenged by the aggrieved person”.
Upon this, Division Bench directed State to file objections in that writ and directed Registry to list PIL on February 29.
