JAMMU, Oct 14: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal today dismissed the bail application of Riaz Khan, who along with three others were convicted and awarded life-imprisonment by the Trial Court in murder case.
While rejecting the bail application, Division Bench observed “we, in order to accord consideration to applicant’s prayer for release on bail, have read the evidence on record of the Trial Court and having done so we are not persuaded to take a view that a case for releasing the applicant on bail at this stage is made out”.
“We, however, will not dilate much in the matter so as to avoid any aspersion on the merits of the appeal”, the DB said.
