AKHNOOR, Oct 29: Provincial president of J&K National Conference Vijay Lakshmi Datta urged upon the concerned authorities to go for fresh survey of the BPL lists.
During her meetings in Pallanwalla and Akhnoor today, the NC leader listened to the problems of the local people. Many women of the area projected the demand of fresh survey of the BPL lists and alleged that many deserving people have been ignored in the lists. They alleged favouritism at the behest of political parties. They also demanded compensation for the muddy houses damaged during rainy season. The woman also demanded opening of knitting and tailoring centers in the area.
Mrs Datta assured the public to take up their demands with the concerned authorities. She strongly stressed for fresh BPL survey in the area.
