JAMMU, Nov 10: Dogri Bhasha Academy Jammu and Press Club Akhnoor today released Dogri book consists of poems and songs of Dr Naseeb Singh Manhas at KL Sehgal Hall (J&K Cultural Academy Jammu).
Former minister and senior BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma was the chief guest, Lt. General (Retd) Rakesh Sharma as guest of honour while former MLA and senior BJP leader, Devinder Singh Rana presided over the book release function.
The function started with the songs written by Manhas, sung by famous Dogri singers- Suraj Singh, Vanshika Jaral, Sonali Dogra, Deepali Watal and composed by famous Composer Brij Mohan.
President Press Club Akhnoor welcomed all the dignitaries and guests present in the function. Kusum Tikkoo was the stage secretary. President Dogri Bhasha Academy – Roshan Bral presented vote of thanks to all the artists and guests.
prominent among those present on the occasion included Padamshree Jitender Uhampuri, President Dogri Sanstha Prof Lalit Magotra, Prof Veena Gupta, Mohan Singh, Rajinder Ranjha, OP Shakir, Raj Kumar Bahrupia, Usha Kiran, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Chander Shekhar Cartoonist, Composer Ravi Sharma, Basant Beogi and Rattan Bhardwaj.
