‘Dand Fanda’ performed at Kaal Bharav Temple

JAMMU, Dec 4: The religious practice of ‘Dand Fanda’ was performed here today at ancient Kaal Bharav Temple in Dhonthly Bazar area of old Jammu city.
“This practice safeguards all from evil spirits and other negative aspects responsible for putting one to losses or downfall,” informed Pandit Rumil Sharma-head priest at the temple.
Many devotees, especially the children, thronged the temple this evening to be benefitted from the ‘Dand Fanda’ practise.
A langar was also arranged for the visiting devotees and the children were given candies and chocolates.
The priest also informed that this is an annual ceremony following Kaal Bharav Ashtami.
He also appealed the people of Jammu and elsewhere to visit the Kaal Bharav temple daily or anytime to get blessings of the deity as same may prove beneficial in different ways in our lives.
