DODA, Apr 2: On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta, Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) Doda organized a programme for cyber awareness to observe ‘Cyber Jaagrukta Diwas’ at Government Industrial Training Institute, Doda to make the students, staff and general public aware about cyber crimes.
The event witnessed a large number of students and staff members.
Lectures were delivered by PSI Ankush Nagra, Incharge CCIU Doda to the participants and they were made aware about the use of cyber crime portals, floating trends of fraudsters to trap common man in their tricks to loot their hard earned money by using various types of online cheatings like Bank Apk files regarding KYC of Banks/ Government schemes, Digital Arrest, Credit Card fraud, OTP, QR scan frauds, online gaming frauds, assuring loan frauds etc.
Participants were also cautioned to keep their social media accounts secure and safe and also remain alert while chatting with unknown persons on social media platforms.
The gathering was also made aware about CEIR Portal in case of missing/lost/stolen mobile phones.
