Curfew relaxed in Kishtwar

JAMMU, Apr 12: Curfew was today relaxed for the first time during last four days in Kishtwar town in two phases for one hour and the relaxation period passed off peacefully.
SSP Kishtwar Shakti Pathak told the Excelsior that curfew was relaxed from 4 pm to 5 pm in Semna Colony, Sangrambhatta area and Girinagar and from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm in Wassar/Kuleed areas.

“No untoward incident was reported during relaxation in curfew,” he said, adding the situation during the day also remained peaceful.
Army remained deployed in the town along with para-military CRPF and police.
Curfew was imposed in Kishtwar town and Army called out following tension against the killing of RSS leader Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar by the militants on Tuesday.
