JAMMU, Feb 20: The Office of Dean Students’ Welfare, Central University of Jammu, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC), organized ‘Sankalp Divas’ at the university campus, here today.
The key speakers of the event were Suresh Jain, Rashtriya Sangathan Mantri, Bharat Vikas Parishad, and Sunil Dutt Vashishth, Prant Pracharak of JKSC and a renowned social worker.
In his presidential address, Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, CUJ, emphasized the university’s initiatives towards promoting the idea of Akhand Bharat and motivating students to actively engage in national development.
Suresh Jain, the chief guest of the event, shared his perspectives on the vision of Akhand Bharat, emphasizing its rich traditions, global and political aspects, and the role of students in nation-building.
During his address, Sunil Dutt Vashishth elaborated on the significance of PoJK and shared narratives about its residents. He encouraged faculty and students to contribute towards preserving the unity and integrity of the nation.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof Ritu Bakshi, Dean Students’ Welfare, CUJ.
A special exhibition was also set up at the university, showcasing reflections on the culture and traditions of PoJK and PoTL, enhancing awareness among attendees.
The event was seamlessly moderated by Dr Bharti Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of TTM, while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof Yashwant Singh, Registrar, CUJ.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from JKSC members, faculty members, research scholars, and students of Central University of Jammu, marking a successful and enlightening observance of ‘Sankalp Divas.’
