JAMMU, Feb 16: Central University of Jammu (CUJ) organized prize distribution function at its new campus at Bagla, District Samba for the winners of the debate competitions conducted amongst the students of Government RSM Higher Secondary School, Rahya; Government Girls School, Suchani and Government Primary School, Khoo-Talab held on National Unity Day.
Prof Devanand, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, was the chief guest of the function. The Vice Chancellor gave away the prizes among the students in the presence of Dr O P Sharma IFS, Jit Singh, Registrar; H K Prasher, OSD (Finance); Dr P S Pathania, Senior Consultant; Prof Deepak Raj Gupta, Academic Administrator; Prof H S Sehgal, Dean School of Life Sciences and Head, Department of Environmental Sciences, Principal, faculty and students of R S Higher Secondary School, Rahya, and other participating schools.
Government R SM Higher Secondary School, Rahya student Samriti Bagal of Class 11th stood 1st; Sonia Banotra and Pallavi of Class 12th stood 2nd and Chahat of Class 11th stood 3rd.
Government Girls School, Suchani student Nazma Malik of Class 9th stood 1st; Bharti of Class 9th , Parul Sharma and Priyanka of Class 10th stood 2nd and Kajal of Class 7th stood 3rd.
Government Primary School, Suchani student Priya Sharma of Class 4th stood 1st; Manisha Sharma of Class 4th stood 2nd and Riyaz Malik of Class 8th stood 3rd.
Government Primary School, Khoo-Talab students Shabnam and Khaleel of Class 3rd stood 1st and Saleem of Class 5th stood 2nd.
The VC appreciated the participation and high spirits of the students of the remote area.
