Srinagar, Feb 16: Police along with a team of SDRF recovered the body of a missing girl from marshy waters near her home at Khayam.
Zahoor Ahmad Khanday resident of Bilal Colony Khayam, Srinagar today reported in Police Station Khanyar that his 3-year-old girl, Aksa Jan, is missing from her home. Police immediately launched a massive search in the area for the missing girl.
Later in the day the missing girl was traced dead in a marshy water near her home. Police and SDRF had a tough time retrieving the body from water that was 20ft deep.
Police have started investigation under Section 174 CrPC in this regard.
