JAMMU, Feb 1: While welcoming State Government’s decision to release 10 % DA installment in favour of employees, J&K Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union (CSNGEU) has sought the intervention of Chief Minister to address other pending issues of the employees.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the chairmanship of its president Rauf Ahmed Bhat ( convenor JCC) here today, the apex body members welcomed the decision of State Government to release 10 % DA and providing them some relief when prices of essential commodities have gone sky high. Mr Bhat expressed concern over the unwanted, undemocratic and uncivilized treatment being given by the ‘Government machinery’ to the peacefully protesting employees.
While condemning use of brute police force on peacefully protesting employees, Mr Bhat expressed his shock and surprise over the wisdom demonstrated by the Government. The participants in the meeting registered their solidarity with the employees who have either been injured in Police action or lodged in Police Stations or jails. The members sought intervention of the Chief Minister and issued appeal to resolve the genuine demands of the employees. They also appealed to release all the detained employees and come forward for result oriented dialogue with the employees leadership.
