NEW DELHI, Feb 22: Crude palm oil futures prices rose by Rs 3.90 to Rs 471.10 per 10 kg today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of rising spot demand.
A firming trend in the overseas markets also influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for March delivery was up by Rs 3.90, or 0.83 per cent, to Rs 471.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 634 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February moved up by Rs 3.10, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 460.30 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 374 lots.
Analysts said the rise in crude palm oil prices mostly supported by rising demand at spot markets and firm global trend.
The palm oil climbed 0.80 per cent to USD 824 a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. (PTI)
