BHADERWAH, Mar 13: CRPF here today flagged off a group of 30 students for Bharat Darshan Tour under Civic Action Programme.
The flagging off ceremony was accomplished by Harish Mehra, Second-in-Command 33 Bn CRPF who was the chief guest.
Dr. Anis Ahmed, District Education and Planning Officer, Doda and Dr. Mohd Asraf, BMO Bhaderwah were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Harish Mehra talked about the significance of Bharat Darshan tour in fostering unity in diversity of India.
He emphasized that this initiative of CRPF will help the students to acquaint with the rich heritage and historical landmarks in Delhi and also recognize the diverse culture, art and communities of the country.
Mehra said that CRPF aims not only to empower the youths of remote areas with knowledge and instill a sense of pride and responsibility towards their country, but also let them gain experience that will benefit them to achieve goal in their life.
The students on tour expressed gratitude to CRPF for providing them the opportunity to venture into the world beyond their native place.
