CRPF distributes wheelchairs, hearing aids; extends financial support to RAAHAT

SRINAGAR, Dec 30: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) distributed wheelchairs, hearing aids to differently abled people and financial support to “RAAHAT”, a Drug De-Addiction Centre in Khaniyar.
82 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Social Spirit Trust organized a function for distribution of wheelchairs, hearing aid to disabled people at its headquarters, Ikhwan Chowk.
The function was presided over by PK Pandey, DIG, CRPF, North, while KM Yadav, DIG, South, various sections of disabled, CRPF officers and civilians were also present.
A total of 10 wheel Chairs and 25 hearing aid were distributed among the differently disabled people including women.
Further in continuation to initiative already taken by CRPF to establish All J&K Youth Welfare Organization “RAAHAT”-Drug De-Addiction Centre was provided financial support for Rs 50,000 and medicines worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
During the function focus on Drug-Addiction was made and pamphlet regarding drug De-Addiction Awareness were also distributed.
