JAMMU, Jan 23: An ailing cop of CRPF undergoing treatment at hospital of Group Centre, CRPF, Bantalab, today tried to end his life by hanging himself with the hook of the ceiling fan.
According to a police spokesperson, constable Rajesh (30) son of Subhash, a resident of Bishnah, who was under treatment for some mental sickness at CRPF’s Group Centre Hospital, Bantalab, attempted suicide by hanging himself with the hook of a ceiling fan in the hospital premises, this morning.
In unconscious condition he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment, where he was out of danger but still unfit for giving statement, when the last reports came in.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
