POONCH, June 25: Tightening noose around illegal mining and people involved in the unlawful activity, Police today seized 21 vehicles from Poonch, Mandi and Surankot, which were being used in carrying different kinds of material extracted from the river beds.
The seized vehicles include 18 tractor trolleys and 03 tippers. Drivers of these vehicles were also arrested on the spot and FIRs under relevant sections have been registered in this regard at Police Station Poonch, Mandi and Surankot.
The action against illegal mining mafia was taken on the directions of SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral.
