MUMBAI: A local court here directed Amboli police station to conduct inquiry against actor Shraddha Kapoor and one of the producers of the film ‘Haseena Parkar’ on a complaint filed by a clothing manufacturer against them for cheating and criminal breach of trust.
The 66th Andheri Metropolitan issued the order directing the police for inquiry and to submit the report before February 15, 2018. The criminal complaint was filed against Shraddha Kapoor for allegedly not promoting fashion label ‘AJTM’ during the promotional activities of the film in violation of an agreement for the film.
In September, M&M Designs firm which had supplied dresses for the actor in the movie has filed a private complaint before the Andheri Metropolitan Court against the producer and Shraddha Kapoor. M&M Designs is in the business of manufacturing, marketing and sale of branded designer costumes, under its brand label AJTM – AJ Mistry and Thea Minhas. (AGENCIES)
